If you want to be free, be free (Rodney Mullen and non-conformity)

When we conform, we don't just limit who we are in the moment, we restrict what is possible for our futures.  Sometimes, to be our authentic selves, honor our gifts and reach our potential, we have to go against the grain.  Rodney Mullen was one of those people. His willingness to be different and his passion and discipline led him down paths that nobody else could see.  This singular vision, unencumbered by the need to follow the herd, led to the creation of much of what is considered the foundation of modern skateboarding.
